Nigerian Man Faces Life Sentence In Sydney

A 32-year-old Nigerian man is up to be jailed for life in Sydney.
According to reports, the unidentified Nigerian man was arrested on Saturday, October 17, by Sydney authorities with a haul of highly addictive drug.
Authorities acted on a tip-off which led to the discovery of three gold-coloured fish statues in the possession of the Nigerian, with one of the gold-coloured fishes safely hiding away the illegal package worth $10million. During interrogation, it was made known that the drug stash had been imported from China into Australia but was caught while trying to board a bus bound for Sydney on Saturday.

The Nigerian man, who got into Australia in July on a student visa, faces a maximum penalty of life in jail if he is convicted of attempting to possess a commercial quantity of an illegal drug.  He is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court today, Monday, October 19. The joint operation between ACT Policing and the Australian Federal police began earlier this month, following the Nigerian’s movements to two addresses before the statues were opened. A search warrant was conducted on a property in Kaleen where similar statues and packaging were found.
Meanwhile, a young Nigerian girl spent two years of her life, serving customers in Russia as her best friend sold her to a pimp.
