Her album sales leading up to Christmas is 7.13 million total in the US, according to Nielsen Music
It's also the number one record on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the fifth consecutive
week in the US.
The singer's third record has hit the million mark in albums for the third non-consecutive week, reports the magazine.
It's the first album to have more than a million albums sold in three different weeks, since Nielsen Soundscan started tracking sales in 1991.
The high number of albums sold last week is due to consumers purchasing the record as a Christmas gift during the holiday rush, according to Billboard.
Adele surpassed the million mark the first week it was released (ending November 26), selling 3.38 million copies in the US, as well as for the week ending on December 3rd, when she sold 1.11 million copies.
The album's more than three million sold in its debut week shattered 'N SYNC's record of 2.42 million copies, which held up for 15 years.
