Yet down to earth Kevin Hart was happy to poke fun at himself as he set about making a few Christmas wishes come true for a group of children on Tuesday.
The 36-year-old Get Hard star joined with NBA star Chris Paul, 30, to send 300 young
people on a $100 shopping spree in Los Angeles.
The two-some looked festive in red Santa hats as they hosted their 2nd annual Holiday Takeover event at a Target store, to benefit several L.A. youth organizations including the Brotherhood Crusade and the Boys & Girls Club.
Surrounded by an excited crowd, the comic told them: 'I know y'all can't see me at the back cos I'm small and I apologise about that.'
He then went on to explain why he puts on the event: 'Look it's the holidays and we like to get in the holiday spirit and the best way to do that is to give back, put smiles on people's faces.
'The one thing that we're asking for is peace - let's all act like we got some sense....let's not tear up and break up.'
Clippers star Chris had one request of those about to hit up the store.
He appealed to the group: 'All you guys are gonna get $100 - and we only have one request from you guys.
