It seems Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi will soon have to build a mansion specifically to house his ever growing trophy haul. The Argentine triumphed at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai where he scooped the award for the Best Player of the Year.
He played a key role to help his club side win an amazing five trophies in the 2015 calendar year, an achievement that duly earned them the Best Club of the Year while their club chief, Josep Maria Bartomeu was awarded the Best President of the Year accolade.
Upon receiving the award, the diminutive playmaker gave credit to his teammates, saying: It's very nice to receive these awards, but I always say that the team makes it possible,' said Messi. 'It's been an extraordinary year.'
