Manchester United transfer news: Chelsea raid, mega-deal was agreed, Leicester battle

Manchester United are in an increasingly worrying position as they go in to the final few days of the transfer window.
Manager Louis van Gaal appears to be hanging on to his job by a thread, and they are still outside of the Premier League top four.
Moreover, the Red Devils have as yet been unable to bring in a new signing this month, which could be vital to the second half of the season.
Here’s the latest news on the troubled club:
Chelsea raid for Domingos Quina
United are looking to raid their close rivals for the 16-year-old.
The potential for more game time at Old Trafford may entice the midfielder.
However, Chelsea are very keen to hold on to the highly-rated youngster.

Deal was agreead for Robert Lewandowski
It has been revealed that the Red Devils had agreed a deal to sign the Bayern Munich ace in 2012.
However, they decided to sign Robin van Persie instead, which now looks like a poor decision.
RvP is now plying his trade in the Turkish Super Lig, while Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in European football.
United join race to sign Ahmed Musa
Man Utd have joined Leicester City in their pursuit of CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa.
Louis van Gaal’s side is lacking pace going forward, and the Nigeria international has plenty of that.
The Russian side are demanding £18.9 million for the 23-year-old.
