Newcastle complete signing of Jonjo Shelvey from Swansea City

Newcastle United have completed the signing of Jonjo Shelvey from Swansea City for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal at St. James' Park. The 23-year-old has made 126 BPL appearances for Swansea and his previous club Liverpool, during which he scored 12 goals, while answering national duty six times.

Upon putting pen to paper, Shelvy said: "I'm very excited to be here. I'm so glad that it's finally done," Shelvey told nufc.co.uk. "I drove up through the night to be here so it's been a manic 24
hours but it's all been worth it to come here and play for this great club."

Meanwhile, Bournemouth's recent signing Afobe would be making his Premier League debut tonight against West Ham. His fellow new signings Juan Iturbe and Lewis Grabban have also received clearance and may feature in the game tonight.
