Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to beat Arsenal to the transfer of former Manchester United star Javier Hernandez, reports say.
The German coach is desperate to revitalise his forward line due to Christian Benteke’s lack of form and Daniel Sturridge’s lack of fitness.
And Klopp has identified Hernandez as the ideal summer signing, according to the Times.
The 27-year-old has been in magnificent form this season and has scored 19 times in all competitions for Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal and Spurs are also believed to be interested in a move, while Man United fans would not be best pleased if Hernandez joined their bitter rivals.
